Burger Island-Rowlett was opened in March 2009. The location was an existing restaurant. Located in the busy Tom Thumb shopping center at the corner of Dalrock Rd and Lakeview Pkwy the venture was visible to many Rowlett residents. After some remodeling, revamping the kitchen and putting up Burger Island banners, doors were opened to the welcoming Rowlett community.
 
The new owners, Kaveer and Jaime - originally the owners of Burger Island-Carrollton, then Burger Island-Sachse - were co-workers at an italian restaurant in Garland for several years. The two had an idea of starting a burger restaurant that served high quality food as opposed to the taste-challenged fast food restaurants currently available.

Just like the original Burger Island-Garland, the venture is still dedicated to preparing premium quality food at affordable prices. You will find a no-nonsense menu, unique sandwich creations and a friendly inviting atmosphere featuring 80's music and ESPN all the time. We also have a patio dining area to enjoy our great Texas weather.

The Burger Island name is growing in popularity, and with it is the potential for more franchises in the DFW area. Come in, try us, and you'll see why everyone is lining up to get a taste at Burger Island.
